About Me
My Background
I have worked in education for over 20 years, within the primary, secondary, special, maintained and academy sectors. Starting from small beginnings (a primary of 50 pupils) to a large MAT (of over 30 schools), I have gained a firm understanding of the role that finance/governance and internal scrutiny brings to the smooth running of a school/academy/trust.
My Experience
Qualified as a School Resource Management Adviser, and most recently have worked as a CFO of a primary academy trust . I am
- am a member of ISBL
- hold an Open University Degree (2.1 Honours)
- am CSBM & DSBM qualified
- I also hold the CIPFA qualification for Financial Reporting in Academies
About Me
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy walking with my dog, Bella. My favourite weekend activity is relaxing in my garden and playing with my grandson.

The service includes meeting with you to discuss the requirements and areas selected for checks to be conducted to ensure systems are effective and compliant. The service provides an independent review, with an in depth report detailing the work carried out and the findings, with recommendations.

Governor Finance Training
I now offer Governor Finance training, this covers how the trust is set up, Scheme of Delegation and Terms of Reference requirements, to how the Finance Committee can interpret any finance reports given to them. The training can be tailored to your requirements.
